Welcome to our July newsletter !

The 10th SCAR Open Science Conference (1-10 August 2022) begins tomorrow and we are excited to welcome you all there.

We just launched the Events Platform, from which you will be able to join all the events, build your own programme, browse the poster exhibition gallery and network with other participants. Make sure to head to the platform today and register - it’s free !

The conference line-up looks fantastic, with eleven main events, nearly 50 parallel sessions as well as a range of workshops and satellite meetings. You can find the full programme on our conference website, where you can also search for the time and date of specific sessions. Tomorrow (Monday, 1st August) we kick off with our Opening Ceremony at 7:30am UTC, so be sure not to miss it.

As this year’s conference is once again online, we would love to see where you will be joining the conference from. Will it be from your office, balcony or somewhere else altogether ? We’d love to know ! Send us your conference images to info@scar.org or tag us - and don’t forget to use the hashtag #SCAR2022 on social media.

We hope the conference will provide an opportunity for scientists from a variety of disciplines and countries to present their work, to network and become more involved in SCAR science activities. A big thanks to the Antarctic research community for putting so much work and enthusiasm into all the conference events. We hope you have a stimulating couple of weeks.
